The Fabulous Knobs MAKE IT STICK is now posted on YouTube:

This was an odd video to find and to shoot. I arrived late at The Pier to videotape Arrogance. Since I showed up so late, Arrogance had just announced they were taking a break before their last set. When it was time to play, to my surprise, The Knobs were on stage and played this one song. That’s the sort of interplay many of the bands had with each other at the time. Debra’s vocals are kind of lost on this track, but they may be found(!). Until they are found (if ever), I thought this performance was important and should be posted.

For those of you keeping up with the RETURN TO COMBOLAND Web site, I have added some more memorabilia to The Spongetones page:

ROUGH CUTS
I’ve been receiving emails regarding ROUGH CUTS. ROUGH CUTS are portions of the RETURN TO COMBOLAND documentary that may (or may not) be used in the final show. The ROUGH CUTS segments are a little rough and if nothing else, will offer a glimpse of what is the final documentary may (or may not) look like. ROUGH CUTS are in progress and should be posted soon. For a sneak peak at the artists focused in the first four segments, visit:

I will be shooting more artists interviews for the documentary in September.
Next week on YouTube: PKM – LONG NIGHT (1984) Live at The Attic.

Arrogance played last Friday and the reports I have been receiving have been great! Sadly, my schedule made it impossible for me to fly to Raleigh for the show. So if you are like me and missed the show, we’ll have to wait until next reunion – which if we’re lucky is summer 2008.
Check out the Return To Comboland Web site! There have been a number of pages added to the site. The Fabulous Knobs page has some great memorabilia on it and the Videos Only page offers a clue at what videos are left to be posted. And if you want some background on me (Steve Boyle), visit the Boyle Bio page. Also, if you are looking for details on what the documentary is all about, visit the About page.

Also, I have started to cut portions of the Return To Comboland documentary from some of the footage I shot in February 2007. I’ll post four segments called Rough Cuts. And as the title states, these will be short segments that may, or may not, be used in the final documentary. I hope to have something posted soon.
As for the rest of the music videos, look at the Videos Only page to see what’s soon to be posted. I hope to have some more clips uploaded soon.

While I continue to dig through the rest of my archives, I thought I would start to update the RETURN TO COMBOLAND Web site. In it you’ll find more details on each artist as well as comments from me regarding the music videos. Also look for lots of memorabilia and the occasional pop-up window offering additional photos and other odds and ends. Artitsts currently featured are: PKM, The Accelerators, Doc Holliday, The Spongetones, the X-Teens, and Arrogance.
